Eternal Friendship

The stars twinkled,
Not without envy
At the joyous pair
Upon the cloud of concord.

A rapport they shared:
It was beyond
The empyrean souls’ radius
Of perception and cognizance.

The timeless treasure
They shared- the amity,
Would last aeons, was
The certain surmise, each had.

Nemesis has but no victims
They were no anomaly.
Lightning struck the cloud !
They drifted physically away.

But, the tenacious friendship grew
Stronger, the rift of a thousand miles
Could not separate the close hearts.
The ken of true bond, dawned.
